I finally committed and moved away from WordPress to relaunch on Substack. It was a big transition but for good reasons. I’ve been frustrated with the lack of a “serious” publishing venue for some time.
Substack offers a lot of advantages — better tools, a more sincere community of authors. Nevertheless, it means re-launching essentially from scratch. Over the next month or so I’ll be getting things in shape. I’m confident the new platform will reinvigorate the newsletter, starting with the upcoming Playbook launch.

Also, today I’m announcing a brand new feature: the Customer Obsessed Engineering subscriber chat. I hope to see you there. It’s a conversation space exclusively for subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’m looking forward to hearing what you like, your ideas for new articles, and just a casual “hi.”
To join our chat, you may want the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
