Introduction

This past week I’ve been on an excursion in Morocco, taking me from Marrakesh to the desert around Erg Chebbi. Erg Chebbi is one of the more accessible desert regions on the edge of the Sahara, but it’s still about ten hours from Marrakesh by car — longer, if you take the scenic route through the Atlas mountains.
