A while back, I wrote about how I became 3-4 times more efficient than my coworkers. In that article I explore my own approach to creating hyper-productivity and how I overcame my own struggle with being productive. Here’s a quick recap:

  1. Be aware of the “9 distractions” and consciously defend against them.

  2. Have one, and only one, task list.

  3. Keep your list clean with an end-of-day ritual.

  4. Before you wrap up, prepare for tomorrow — line up your big task, and preplan tomorrow.

But having just one task list isn’t easy. In my case, at the very least, I have my personal projects, long-running work projects, daily activities, a personal to-do list, and sometimes more. Pulling it all together into a single backlog is hard!
